{"id":72230,"date":"2021-02-15T12:01:46","date_gmt":"2021-02-15T11:01:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/energipole.com\/chantier-de-belval-toujours-plus-de-performance-et-de-securite\/"},"modified":"2025-10-30T16:41:59","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T15:41:59","slug":"belval-site-driving-performance-and-safety-to-new-levels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/energipole.com\/en\/belval-site-driving-performance-and-safety-to-new-levels\/","title":{"rendered":"Belval site: driving performance and safety to new levels"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/energiserv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Energiserv<\/a> Belval has invested nearly<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>\u20ac12 million<\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>to reorganise and reconfigure the yards entrusted to it under the<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>finished products yard management and outbound logistics contract<\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>on the<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><strong>ArcelorMittal Belval<\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>site in Luxembourg, launched in July 2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"NL-BE\">This investment also includes the design and commissioning of<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">two rubber-tyred gantry cranes<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"NL-BE\">and a<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">rail-mounted gantry crane<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"NL-BE\">specifically engineered for handling sheet piles. With a<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">44-metre span<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"NL-BE\">and standing<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">18 metres high<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">, the latest rail-mounted gantry tower dominates the site. A true structural powerhouse weighing<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">170 tonnes<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">, it offers a<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">24-tonne lifting capacity<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"NL-BE\">using a spreader beam. The crane allows trucks to be loaded in a single movement and can be operated either from a cabin or remotely via radio control.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"NL-BE\">A<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><strong><span lang=\"NL-BE\">second rail-mounted gantry crane<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"><span lang=\"NL-BE\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"NL-BE\">will be delivered by summer 2021.
