This Thursday, 29th January, in Eppeville, Energipole Remediation officially unveiled its project for an Energy Industrial Village on the iconic site of the former sugar factory.
A significant moment for the region, attended by Mr Alain Mallart, President of Energipole, and Mr Rollon MOUCHEL-BLAISOT, Prefect of the Somme, alongside local elected officials and institutional partners.
This project, led by Jean Marie Debert, marks the operational launch of a large-scale industrial conversion: transforming 184 hectares of history into a tangible demonstration of ecological transition, centred around a new energy mix, mindful of resource sobriety, circularity, and the valorisation of eco-materials.
Beyond environmental ambitions, it is also a project focused on the economic future of the region, welcoming new industrial activities, particularly in the agri-food sector, and creating local jobs.
The symbolic planting of a tree embodied this transition from an industrial past to a sustainable and innovative future.
