An innovative sorting project for the Hauts-de-France region
The foundation stone for the DK TRI sorting centre was laid on 23 April 2025 in Dunkerque.
This next-generation site, led by a consortium of expert waste-management operators, aims to deliver unmatched sorting performance for local authorities across the Hauts-de-France region, including the Dunkerque Urban Community and the Béthune-Bruay Artois Lys Romane Metropolitan Area (CABBALR).
Energipole Solutions at the heart of the project
A subsidiary of the Energipole Group, Energipole Solutions plays a key role in this project thanks to its expertise in robotic sorting technologies.
Our teams will oversee the integration and deployment of an automated sorting system capable of detecting, sorting and recovering bagged waste with precision and efficiency.
Objective: maximise the recovery of recyclable materials (paper, cardboard, metals) and recoverable waste streams (bio-waste).
A sustainable and high-performance model
The future DK TRI centre will process 66,000 tonnes of waste per year, including 16,000 tonnes transported by river barge from Ruitz, an environmentally responsible and cost-efficient solution.
Scheduled commissioning: 2027
This project perfectly embodies the mission of Energipole Solutions: supporting regions in their transition towards smarter, more sustainable and more efficient waste management.
