Energipole, a key player in waste recovery in the French West Indies

22 October 2025

Since 2006Energipole has been driving the development of a sustainable waste recovery sector in the French West Indies, serving both communities and residents.

Based in Guadeloupe, the group operates four complementary facilities dedicated to the collection, sorting, recycling, and recovery of waste, including energy and organic recovery.

Four sites, one shared mission: turning waste into resources

🔹 Ecodec (Les Abymes): sorting, recycling and recovery of household and non-hazardous industrial waste, supporting municipalities and local businesses.

🔹 AER (Le Lamentin): specialist in metal recycling and the only certified operator in the French West Indies for the treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

🔹 Energipole Espérance (Sainte-Rose): facility dedicated to residual waste treatment and the production of over 13 GWh of green electricity per year, generated from biogas and solar power.

🔹 Energipole Verde (Le Moule): platform for composting and recovering organic waste, actively supporting local agricultural development.

A Long-Term Commitment to the Circular Economy

Every year, Energipole Antilles contributes to the recovery of over 255,000 tonnes of waste, transforming what was once discarded into new resources for the region.

This performance reflects a strong belief: the circular economy is a key driver for sustainable development and island resilience.

Energipole remains fully committed to supporting the ecological transition in the French West Indies, combining innovation, performance, and environmental responsibility.
