Energipole Remediation has just successfully completed a soil decontamination project in Lambersart (59), carried out for the developer Groupe QUARTUS as part of a student housing construction initiative.
This project presented particular technical and environmental constraints: an intervention conducted nearly 4 metres deep under sliding shoring, right next to a heavily trafficked avenue and in close proximity to the Lille metro. Such a context required meticulous preparation, precise organisation, and perfect coordination between the on-site teams and project partners.
The completed works have notably included:
– Installing a sliding shield to a depth of 4 m;
– Carrying out selective excavation of soils affected by hydrocarbons and BTEX;
– Ensuring the analytical characterisation of materials;
– Disposing of the contaminated soils to an authorised facility – ICPE Verdipole Santes (59);
– Backfilling and compacting the excavations to achieve the load-bearing requirements necessary for the future property development.
This project, lasting three weeks, exemplifies Energipole Remediation’s ability to operate in constrained urban environments while ensuring safety, technical performance, and adherence to environmental requirements.
