Our subsidiary Energipole Antilles is continuing the modernisation of its sorting centre, Ecodec, in order to meet the new regulatory requirements associated with the extension of sorting guidelines.
Several major developments are currently being installed:
🔹 A new loading hopper with a balancing wheel to better distribute the material
🔹 A de-stacker to extract fractions <300 mm and improve the quality of sorting in the cabin and through optical sorting
🔹 A ballistic sorting system to effectively separate flat bodies from hollow bodies
🔹 A system for vacuuming plastic films above the sorting tables
🔹 Two optical sorters in series to automate the sorting of new materials (FDR, ELA…)
🔹 An eddy current to automate the sorting of aluminium cans
During the construction period, the baler has been relocated and we are currently producing mixed bales of selective collection. These will be reprocessed on the new line as soon as it is operational.
♻️ A key step in enhancing sorting performance, integrating new materials, and supporting the development of the circular economy in Guadeloupe.
