A significant milestone achieved for the expansion of recycling guidelines in Guadeloupe!🏝️
After nearly four months of work, it is with great pride that we announce the completion of the modernisation of our sorting centre. A noteworthy step that accompanies the evolution of recycling guidelines in Guadeloupe and prepares the region for the challenges of tomorrow.
This structural project represents far more than a technical evolution: it has allowed us to rethink our equipment and processes to integrate new packaging streams, while enhancing sorting performance, the quality of recovered materials, and the working conditions of our teams.
This modernisation is above all a human adventure. For several months, the operational teams, our engineering partner EBHYS, and the equipment manufacturers STADLER Group, Pellenc ST, Raoul LENOIR sas / MEC srl, Kadant PAAL GmbH, Schulz & Berger Luft- und Verfahrenstechnik GmbH, PRECIA MOLEN, B2A, Expert Process have worked hand in hand, with commitment and professionalism, to meet this challenge while ensuring the continuity of operations by implementing an interim solution to avoid impacting the collection of recyclable materials across the entire region. 👷🏼♀️👷🏾♂️
Beyond the technical advancements, this modernisation represents a total investment of over €6.5 million in favour of the circular economy and ecological transition. It will simplify sorting instructions for residents and enhance waste recovery in the area. 🚮
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Citeo for its invaluable support and significant financial backing, which has been essential for the realisation of this modernisation.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this project. 🙏🏼
